DigiPak Complete - NEW

After more feedback I decided to make some minor changes in order to improve my Digi Pak even more.
The changes I made are -
Disc Holes
Disc Labels
Names on all sides
Moving the barcode and rise record logo to the bottom of the back panel

I'm very pleased with this piece of work - all the information I have said on this and why wanted this look can be found through my progression of creating a Digi Pak on my blog.

Digi Pak complete (OLD)

This is my completed Digipak however there may be minor adjustments I have to make once I have feedback. I'm really happy with it and I think it looks cool and suits my band really well. I love how on the front panel, Harry's eyes are blacked out due to the lighting and the way the picture was shot because it matches the text of my album cover below (Blind Faith). I love how the dominant colours are red and black because i think this style compliments my bands genre.

Digi Pak draft 2 (incomplete)

This is my second draft for creating my Digi pak, already i've seen progress and i'm finding it a lot easier to use photoshop because i'm getting used to it now. This draft is still incomplete and is likely to be my final piece once it is finished. I really like the images chosen and I think the red, black and white colour scheme really goes well with my band and its genre. The hand was originally horizontal but when playing around with the rotation tool I found that it looked much better reaching upwards.
the top left and top right panels are going to be where i have the disc slots, although this is unusual I think it will look really cool once the image of the lead singer (Harry) is put in between these two panels. I am planning to edit Harry's face by scratching out his eyes and blanking his mouth which will look really sinister and suit the album idea of being called Blind Faith. The back panel will be just black and have the song names on it because I want the majority of the colour to be on the inside, the front panel however will be a full band shot so my audience and potential buyers know who they are straight away.

First draft Digi pak (failure)

This first draft idea fro a digi pak was a complete failure. When if first got the idea for my digi pak to have an Eclipse base design I thought it would look really cool however it was hard to make what I wanted so I've changed my idea and i'm thinking of new drafts I can make in order to have a better digi pak for my final outcome.
although it is annoying I couldn't actually make my idea without it looking tacky and unprofessional in some ways it is good because I can learn from mistakes, my ideas have broadened, my photoshop skills have improved and I have progressed in this task.

Digi Pak Plan

This week, I continued to make progress with my Digi pak project. I have begun to draw out what I hope to create on photoshop. This is a first draft and I plan to make at least two or three digi pak designs so I can choose what I think is best. I also have a list of song names for the album. I have decided the album name will be Blind Faith.

Digi Pak Research

Digi Pak Research - 'My Chemical Romance'

As part of our coursework when creating a music video we also have to create Digi pak suitable for the music video we made. Due to our genre of music being rock I have decided to look into other rock music Digi paks so I can get a better understanding to how it should look.

This Digi pak is for a rock band called 'My Chemical Romance'.

Things I Like-
I like the wide shot used to capture the full band in an edgy pose, the black and white filter on the shot also really suits the  genre of music because it is fairly dark which i like the idea of.
I like the costumes all the band members are wearing and when it comes to my shoot I think I might use similar clothing as them/

Things I Dislike -
I dislike the blood splatters because i feel like they look very unprofessional and cheap, I don't think they suit the digi pak at all or contrast the music well.
